Whiplash festival 2008 19/08/08

We are pleased to announce Steel Tormentor have been confirmed to play the annual Sligo Whiplash metal festival.

The festival will be taking place on the weekend of October 24th-26th 2008.For further information on the festival go to www.sligowhiplash.com

This will be the first gig in the west of Ireland for ST in nearly 3 years.The band has changed alot since the last appearance at the 2005 festival.Various members have come & gone so it will be the first gig ever with the current new line up.

The band will also be fresh back from finishing the new album in Italy so there will be a lot of new aditions to the set list on the night.

Unleashed sold out 15/08/08

The debut album Unleashed has officially sold out & there will be no more pressings of the album in its current format.We may however rerelease the album at some point in the future in a different format with different artwork if the demand is there.

Recording update 12/08/08

During a very enjoyable week in Italy with Nick Savio at the helm we have managed to get all the drums, rhythm & harmony guitar parts layed down for the new album.Next up are the guitar solos, bass & vocals parts.We wont be recording those parts till october.

The recording process so far has been a great experience & the results we are getting sound very raw & very heavy we couldn't be happier.Now roll on October!!!!!

ST to record in Italy 16/05/08

We will be recording our new album with producer Nick Savio at Remaster studios in Vicenza Italy from June 18th till July 2nd. Nick recently finished work on the new album from UK power metallers PowerQuest entitled "Master of Illusion" .We are really looking forward to working with Nick & are confident he will do a great job for us behind the mixing desk.
